Congratulations to Gavin Gagnon!
We are thrilled to share that Gavin has been selected to receive a prestigious Science Research Grant from the Marjot Foundation! This competitive award provides up to $2,500 for students across New England and New York to pursue independent environmental science research.
Gavin is no stranger to scientific inquiry—he has represented VBDSS at the Maine State Science Fair during both his freshman and sophomore years. Thanks to this grant, he will expand his research exploring the connection between bird behavior and weather patterns, a project he has already begun to develop with curiosity and dedication.
To earn this award, Gavin submitted an exceptionally detailed and thoughtful research plan, showcasing both his passion and his potential as a young scientist.
